Background: The City of Port St. Lucie and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) entered into the original Grant Agreement on November 23, 2023, which allows the FDEP to reimburse the City up to $500,000 for the Vulnerability Assessment.  The grant agreement was amended on May 7, 2025, to extend the Grant Agreement until June 30, 2026.  The Vulnerability Assessment is nearing completion, but it is anticipated that presentation of the report to City Council at one-on-one meetings and presentation of the final report at a City Council meeting will require the agreement to be extended beyond June 30, 2026.  It should be noted that while the Vulnerability Assessment will be done this summer, and after coordination with FDEP and at their request, to accommodate grant close out requirements the proposed amendment will extend the grant another year with an end date of June 30, 2027.

Issues/Analysis: N/A.
