2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Hedrick Brothers Construction Co., Inc.
3. Purpose: Update the 1990 d?cor to include the lobby, restrooms, locker rooms & fitness area.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: Modified.
5. Duration: An additional 58 calendar days are required for the Amendments. The new end date is May 18, 2022.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Replace deteriorated materials for ease of use and maintenance purposes as well as provide an updated appearance.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): An additional $32,824.88 is required for the Amendments. The new Contract amount is $532,692.88.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve Amendments #1 - 3 to Contract #20210027 for the First Floor Renovations at the Police Department with Hedrick Brothers Construction Co., Inc.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve Amendments #1 - 3 to Contract #20210027.
2. Move that the Council not approve Amendments #1 - 3 to Contract #20210027 and provide staff with direction.

Background: The additional expenses were not part of the original contract. Amendment #1 includes changing the plumbing fixtures from manual to touchless. Amendment #2 includes new receptacles to the breakroom and a new electrical subpanel, recess lights & exit lights in the stair vestibule, and the removal of an existing wall inside the locker room. Amendment #3 includes renovations to the Report Room.
