6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: To support improved communications between partners, specifically, with the 911 system responding to emergency calls during storm events.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): One-time expenditure in the amount of $643,442.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council award Contract #20200126 and enter into a lump sum contract with Young Communications, LLC for the fiber optic design and installation project.

Background: The City was awarded a grant through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) to complete the connection between the St. Lucie County Emergency Operations Center and the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Department which will include connections to the St. Lucie County Fire Department Administration building and the James E.
