Summary Brief (Agreements/Contracts only)
1. Prepared by: Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND).
2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation Department and FIND.
3. Purpose: Approval of the FIND Project Agreement will provide additional project funding assistance for the Riverwalk Boardwalk Extension Project (Phase IIA).
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: The City shall complete the project and submit all required payment reimbursement information on or before September 30, 2021.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Completion of the Riverwalk Boardwalk Extension will provide greater public access to waters of the North Fork of the St. Lucie River, provide floating public boat docks, improved fishing facilities and ultimately connect the boardwalk to the existing boardwalk facility north of the Port St. Lucie Boulevard Bridge.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): Annual maintenance costs are expected to be minimal and will be funded through the #001-7210/7215 Parks Division operating budget. Total project cost is estimated to be $3,200,000, with FIND providing funding assistance totaling $869,702.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the FIND Project Agreement No. SL-PSL-66 and authorize the City Manager to execute the same.
