7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The net amount of the purchase is $379,600.00. This includes a trade-in value of $248,000.00.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council waive the bidding, per Chapter 35.04(c), good cause shown, and approve the one-time purchase of 80 new Yamaha golf carts from Yamaha Golf Car Company in the net amount of $379,600.00.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the purchase of 80 new Yamaha golf carts.
2. Move that the Council not approve the purchase and provide staff with direction.

Background: The current fleet of golf carts has reached the end of its life cycle and would require all new batteries. The cost to replace all the batteries is potentially $90,000.00. Being cognizant of major supply chain delivery delays within the golf cart industry, a Request for Quote was sent to the industry's leading golf cart companies, Yamaha, E-Z Go, and Club Car, in preparation of replacing the fleet.
