2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Hazen and Sawyer, P.C. d/b/a Hazen and Sawyer.
3. Purpose: To provide Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services to assist the City manage the significant improvements underway at the Westport Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) as required by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Best Management Action Plan (BMAP).
4. New/Renewal/Modified: Modified.
5. Duration: The initial term began on February 19, 2024, through February 18, 2028. Amendment #1 extends the Contract for an additional two years through February 18, 2030.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: To provide project management and inspection for the WWTF Nutrient Reduction Improvement Project to comply with FDEP/BMAP effluent treatment limits for nitrogen and phosphorous.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): An additional $1,798,435.00 for a new Contract total of $5,535,777.00.
