Executive Summary (General Business): This is a City initiated small- scale future land use map amendment to amend the Future Land Use for 28.81 acres, more or less, of City owned land from the future land use designation of Medium Density Residential (RM) future land use classification to the Open Space Recreation (OSR) future land use designation.

Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.

Staff Recommendation: The Planning and Zoning Department finds the petition consistent with the City's comprehensive plan and recommends approval.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and adopt the Future Land Use Map amendment
2. Move that the Council shall recommend denial of the Future Land Use Map amendment and provide staff direction.

Background: The subject property is the 28.81- acre site that was acquired by the City for Torino Regional Park. The subject property was previously owned by Saint Matilda, LLC, and was rezoned to a PUD to develop the site with 263, two-story, townhouse units. Through a land swap with the Port St. Lucie Governmental Finance Corporation (GFC), Saint Matilda, LLC, acquired 13.97 acres in Southern Grove.
