3. Purpose: To secure the supply of float switches which are a critical component within residential grinder systems.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: Three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1)-year periods.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Reduce equipment failures and improve system reliability.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): $36.57 each for an estimated annual expense of $365,700.00. Future expenditures will be approved in each year's annual budget.

Staff Recommendation: Move that Council award Contract #20250214 and enter into a unit price contract with Southeastern Florida Pump, LLC to supply Mini-Float Switches for Residential Low Pressure Sewer Grinder Pump Systems.

Background: Prior to 2023, the Utility Systems Department (USD) utilized Rhombus Sensor Floats within residential grinder systems. However, beginning in 2023, an increase in failure rates was observed with the existing floats, resulting in system downtime and additional maintenance. To identify a more reliable alternative, USD began testing Anchor Scientific SM30-NO Mini-Floats switches in September 2024.
