Strategic Plan Link: The City's Goal of a diverse local economy and employment opportunities.

Executive Summary (General Business): SCORE Treasure Coast and the Port St. Lucie Business Club are hosting a free small business workshop entitled "From Rejection to Resources: Your Roadmap to Business Funding". The free workshop will be held at the Port St. Lucie Community Center on Friday March 21, 2025, at 6:00 pm.

Presentation Information: Gary Mastro with SCORE Treasure Coast will be available to answer any questions.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council find that the sponsorship of the event serves a valid public and/or municipal purpose and approve all sponsorship items.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and find that the sponsorship of the event serves a valid public and/or municipal purpose and approve selected items.
2. Move that the Council not approve the request and provide staff direction.

Background: SCORE Treasure Coast mentors are highly successful and seasoned business professionals and entrepreneurs with the experience and knowledge to help people achieve small business goals. SCORE Treasure Coast and the Port St. Lucie Business Club are requesting endorsement of the following items, which are in line with other sponsorship requests approved by the City Council:
1. Use of the City Logo on advertising materials.
2. Partnership with the City's Communications Department for promotional support of the event.

Issues/Analysis: The City's Communications Department has been advised of this request for assistance and will respond accordingly upon approval from City Council.
