Executive Summary (General Business): The proposed amendment to Article VII, Sections 32.50 through 32.57 is staff-initiated and provides for the selection of Planning and Zoning Board members at-large versus the current program that requires four (4) members be selected from the four (4) City Council districts.  The amendment also changes the Board’s meeting time from day to evening.  These amendments are intended to provide for a larger pool of potential candidates for the Planning and Zoning Board.

 

Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation at second reading.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council adopt the ordinance.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and adopt the ordinance.

2.                     Move that the Council not adopt the ordinance and provide staff direction.
