Strategic Plan Link: The City's Goal of a high-performing city government organization.

Executive Summary (General Business): At this month's update staff will review and confirm the updated Strategic Goals, Initiatives and Projects identified by the Mayor and City Council at the March 29-30 Strategic Planning Workshop.

Presentation Information: A 15-minute presentation will be provided by Director of Strategic Initiatives & Innovation Kate Parmelee and any Strategic Plan Project Manager who has an update on their project's timeline.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council accept the Strategic Plan Update and approve the updated Strategic Plan Goals, Strategic Initiatives and Projects.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the updated Strategic Plan Goals, Strategic Initiatives and Projects and provide direction as needed.
2. Move that the Council provide staff direction.

Background: Each year the Council updates the Strategic Plan that guides the work of the City organization and budgetary priorities. In addition, staff will provide any relevant updates on progress or delays of Strategic Plan priorities at the monthly Special meeting. The City Manager will also provide updates when required during regular City Council meetings to keep the Council further informed such as through the attached Strategic Plan Gantt Chart. Following approval of this year's Goals, Strategic Initiatives and Projects staff will provide the Council with an updated Strategic Plan including a new "Strategic Plan in Brief" via memorandum. Strategic Plan progress reports will continue to be provided on a quarterly basis.
