1. Prepared by: Robyn Holder, CPPB (PMD).
2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and CAPTEC Engineering, Inc.
3. Purpose: The City requires professional engineering & construction administration services for the previously designed Wilderness Trail Phase 1, 2 & 3 improvements.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: Modified.
5. Duration: An additional 270 calendar days are required for a new end date of 9/27/2023.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Trail development & construction is one of the City's main Strategic Priorities. Trails are consistently one of the highest-ranking amenities within the City and is highlighted as a priority project for FY 2022/2023.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): An additional $375,929.80 is required for this work. The new contract amount is $546,854.80.

Background: Wilderness Trail is located at 2701 SE Westmoreland Blvd. This trail runs along Cambridge Drive and is located within the 85 acres of Wilderness Park. Walking and hiking trails ranked #1 in the PSLPRD 10-year Master Plan Needs Assessment and has been adopted as a key recommendation of the City's adopted Strategic Plan.
