This is a request to grant a variance to allow 315.52 SF more fa?ade signage than allowed by the Tradition Master Sign Program. The increased square footage will be dispersed among three fa?ade signs.

Executive Summary: The City of Port St. Lucie has received a request from Steve Garrett, Lucido and Associates, on behalf of property owners, 4Y Plaza LLC., to grant a variance from the Tradition Master Sign Program (7th amendment) to allow 315.52 SF more fa?ade signage than is allowed for a single-tenant building in the Shoppes at the Heart Plaza (P25-159).
Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Board review the variance application and vote to approve, approve with conditions, or deny the variance request. Staff supports this request.
Background: The Tradition Master Sign Program allows a maximum cumulative sign area of 200SF for single-tenant buildings less than 10,000 SF and 200SF per business facade or section. The signage that is the subject of this variance is located on the building at the northeast corner of the Shoppes at the Heart Plaza, adjacent to the Heart in the Park public art feature.
Issues/Analysis: Request is to grant a variance of 315.52 SF from the Tradition Master Sign Program (7th amendment) to allow a total of 515.52 SF of fa?ade signage distributed between three signs for a single-tenant building.
