Executive Summary (General Business): This amendment updates the City Center Master Sign Program to add standards for LED display boards and scoreboards.
Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council recommend approval of the amendment to the Master Sign Program.
Alternate Recommendations:
Move that the Council amend the recommendation and recommend approval of the amendment with modifications.
Move that the the Council recommend denial of the amendment and provide direction to staff.
Background: The City Center Master Sign Program was adopted on April 11, 2011, through Ordinance 11-35 and has been amended over time to support ongoing site development. An amendment to the City Center PUD (P26-055) is scheduled for the October 6, 2026 Planning and Zoning Board hearing to amend the development thresholds and concept plan to add a 6,000 seat soccer stadium to the PUD. A site plan application (P26-122) and a subdivision plat application (P26-154) have been submitted for the soccer stadium project and are under review. The Community Redevelopment Agency and the Site Plan Review Committee have reviewed the proposed amendment and recommend approval.
Issues/Analysis: A list of the proposed changes are included in the Master Sign Program document (Exhibit “A”). The changes are shown as strike-through for deletions and underlined for additions.
