2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and LEB Demolition & Consulting Contractors, Inc.
3. Purpose: To authorize additional funding under the piggyback of the City of Fort Pierce agreement (RFP No. 2019-009) with LEB. Demolition & Consulting Contractors, Inc., memorialize the contract extension date to align with the lead agency, ratify expenditures beyond the original Council approval, and expand authorization so demolition and abatement services may be used for City-owned properties beyond the initial sites approved in 2023.

5. Duration: The initial contract term was from October 15, 2022, through October 14, 2023, with a one (1) year renewal option. The lead agency's contract has since been extended through December 31, 2025.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: The demolition of the identified properties on Greenway Terrace is essential to support and advance the Utility Systems Department (USD) Master Plan. Removal of these vacant structures will allow for improved land use.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The initial Council-approved expenditure was $317,579.00. Since that approval, the City has expended an additional $260,518.00, bringing the total spent to $578,097.00. Staff anticipates additional expenditures of $410,000.00, resulting in a new cumulative expenditure amount of $988,097.00.
