Executive Summary (General Business): This is a City initiated small- scale future land use map amendment to amend the Future Land Use on 1.23 acres, more or less, of City owned land from the future land use designation of Low Density Residential (RL) to the future land use designation of Institutional (I). The subject properties consist of five parcels on the east side of SW Kail Street, north of SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard and west of SW Airoso Boulevard.

Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the proposed Future Land Use Amendment as recommended by the Planning & Zoning Board.

Alternate Recommendations:
Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Future Land Use Amendment.
Move that the Council deny the Future Land Use Amendment and provide direction to staff.

Background: On September 1, 2026, the Planning & Zoning Board unanimously voted to recommend approval of the Future Land Use Amendment to the City Council.
