Executive Summary (General Business): The City proposes changing the Future Land Use designation of two parcels (2.74 acres) from OSR to OSC to permanently preserve the property as part of the City's Conservation Lands Program.
Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the proposed Future Land Use Amendment as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Future Land Use Amendment.
2. Move that the Council deny the Future Land Use Amendment and provide direction to staff.
Background: On August 4, 2026, the Planning and Zoning Board unanimously voted to recommend approval of the Future Land Use Amendment to the City Council.
The City acquired the surrounding +/- 94-acre natural area in 2009 and has since acquired the two parcels that are the subject of this request, including a parcel that provided access to the overall Commerce Centre North site.
