Executive Summary: The applicant is requesting to change the Future Land Use (FLU) for the parcel from General Commercial (CG), Limited Commercial Limited (CL) and Low Density Residential (RL) to Medium Density Residential/ Institutional (RM/I). The proposed land use designations will allow multifamily residential and assisted living units.
Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Board recommend approval of the comprehensive plan amendment.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Board amend the recommendation and recommend approval with conditions.
2. Move that the Board not recommend approval.
Background:
Issues/Analysis: The existing Ravello PUD currently only allows an assisting living facility or day care center on the parcel. The applicant has indicated it will be requesting a Planned Unit Development amendment soon to allow a residential community that offers a continuum of care ranging from independent living to assisted living.
