Executive Summary (General Business): Litter Control and Prevention Grant Agreement between the State of Florida, Department of Transportation and City of Port St. Lucie, Keep Port St Lucie Beautiful.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve this Litter Control and Prevention Grant Agreement and return it to the Office of Solid Waste for final processing with Florida Department of Transportation.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Grant Agreement.
2. Move that the Council not approve the Grant Agreement and provide staff direction.
Background: This is a non-competitive grant that has been awarded to Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful for several years.
Issues/Analysis: This grant will directly fund the Adopt A Street Volunteer Program for Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful. Litter Tools and Personal Protective Equipment are provided to volunteers in the form of FDOT-approved Safety Shirts and Litter Collection Kits. In 2023, Adopt A Street Groups collected 7,356 bags of litter over 12,843 hours.
Financial Information: This grant is a dollar-for-dollar Matching Grant.
