Executive Summary (General Business): Proposed amendment to Code 155 Sign Code to add Electric Message Sign regulations and to add the related definitions to Chapter 153.

 

Presentation Information: Staff may provide a presentation.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council adopt the ordinance as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and adopt the ordinance.

2.                     Move that the Council deny the ordinance and provide direction.

 

Background:  The Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval of the proposed text amendment at their December 5, 2023, meeting. This text amendment will allow properties in the Institutional Zoning District to install monument signs with electronic message signs.
