2. Move that the Council provide staff direction on the expenditure of the forfeiture funds.
Background: The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) is requesting to purchase an additional Falcon Camera for the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) at an estimated cost of $2,750.
Issues/Analysis: FDOT will not allow us to use their right-of-way to install the cameras as we initially intended. In this new configuration, we need to add an additional camera to our system, which would bring us to nine cameras instead of the original eight.
Financial Information: PSLPD intends to use forfeiture funds to purchase an additional Falcon Camera for the Criminal Investigation Division at an estimated cost of $2,750.
