P16-042-A1 Tradition Master Sign Program Amendment No. 6

Location: All of the Tradition, Southern Grove, and Western Grove Developments of Regional Impact (DRI).

Legal Description: N/A

This is a request to amend the Tradition Master Sign Program to allow additional signs.

body

Submitted By: Daniel Robinson, Planner II

Executive Summary: The proposed amendment is to propose an increase to the amount of façade square footage permitted, to increase the number of monument signs permitted, to include the ability to add square footage to a single sign instead of adding an additional sign, and to add two sign types (Digital Display Kiosk and “T” sign).

Presentation Information: Staff will provide a short presentation.

Staff Recommendation: The Planning and Zoning Department staff recommends approval of the proposed ordinance with the conditions that the “T” sign be removed, and the “Digital Display Kiosk” signs be placed away from the streets so that not to be a distraction to drivers and not be located within and conservation areas.

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Board amend the recommendation and recommend approval of the amendment to the Tradition Master Sign Program.

2.                     Move that the Board recommend denial of the amendment and give explanation of denial.
