Background: The A-14 Drainage Control Structure is an aging structure that is near the end of its service life and in need of replacement due to deterioration. The original structure was constructed in the 1980's, also it did not provide significant water quality benefits to the basin based on its original design configuration. The A-14 Drainage Control Structure Replacement Project has been designed and permitted to install a new structure that will provide additional water quality treatment within the basin while maintaining a similar level of service for flood protection.
