Executive Summary (General Business): The applicant is requesting a special exception use to allow the use of a lounge per Section 158.124(C)(6) of the City Code. The proposed special exception use is proposed in a building that is zoned General Commercial (CG). Section 158.124(C)(6) of the City Code lists bars, lounges, and night clubs as special exception uses that may be permitted only following the review and specific approval thereof by the City Council.
Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the special exception use request as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the special exception use request.
2. Move that the Council not approve the special exception use request and provide staff direction.
Background: The Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval of the Special Exception Use on March 2, 2021.
