Background: Charles DeSanti with DeSanti and Associates, Inc., agent for GRBK GHO BELTERRA, LLC, property owners, have submitted a public art application that proposes a butterfly. The butterfly sculpture proposal is estimated to cost $97,000, including art acquisition and installation. The project's estimated construction costs exceed $9,700,000, which, according to the Art in Public Places ordinance, would require an artwork valued at $97,000.
