6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: The area will bring a diverse array of recreation and leisure opportunities for all to enjoy.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): An additional $433,835.00 for a new Contract amount of $12,481,144.79.

Background: The Westmoreland Middle Tract has long been identified as a unique gathering place along the North Fork of the St. Lucie River. Recent efforts to improve the visitor experience include the installation of a boardwalk along the river, in addition to continued improvements to the City's Botanical Gardens.
The project was bid in February of 2022 and was awarded to Ferreira Construction Company, Inc. on June 13, 2022.
