Summary Brief: The owner of 10799 SW Civic Lane, Port St. Lucie, Florida, is requesting to abandon a portion of the twenty (20) foot utility easement and portion of the ten (10) foot private utility easement and, the easement abandonment request is due to the conflict with future building on this site.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Ordinance abandoning a portion of the twenty (20) foot utility easement and a portion of the ten (10) foot private utility easement, located at 10799 SW Civic Lane.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Ordinance abandoning a portion of the twenty (20) foot utility easement and a portion of the ten (10) foot private utility easement and located at 10799 SW Civic Lane.
2. Move that the Council not approve the abandonment and provide staff direction.
Background: The real property located at 10799 SW Civic Lane was platted with a twenty (20) foot wide utility easement and a ten (10) foot private utility easement. The owner desires to construct on the site. Prior to construction, a portion of the ten (10) foot private utility easement and a portion of the twenty (20) foot utility easement needs to be abandoned. The owner of the property has submitted a request for the abandonment to the City.
