Executive Summary (General Business): Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) requests permission from the City Council to proceed with the grant submittal process of the State (FDLE) allocated funds of $29,799 from the FY 2021 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program JAG-Countywide (JAGC) for Law Enforcement Technology. The grant process begins with the submittal of the 51% allocation letter to the County by August 19, 2022. Note, the allocated funds represent one-third of the total awarded/allocated ($89,397) to St. Lucie County. PSLPD intends to expend the grant funds between the October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023. There is no match requirement.
