Executive Summary: The applicant is requesting the rezoning of two parcels, from the Professional (P) to Service Commercial (CS) zoning district. The Service Commercial (CS) zoning district allows permitted uses as listed per Section 158.126 of the City’s Zoning Code.     

 

Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Board recommend approval of the rezoning request.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Board recommend denial of the rezoning request.

 

Background: The properties have a future land use classification of Service Commercial (CS)/ Light Industrial (LI), and a zoning designation of Professional (P).  The proposed rezoning to the Service Commercial (CS) zoning district is compatible with the existing Service Commercial (CS)/Light Industrial LI) future land use classification.

 

Issues/Analysis: The proposed rezoning complies with the direction and intent of the City of Port St. Lucie Comprehensive Plan.  The Service Commercial (CS) zoning district is compatible with the Service Commercial (CS) future land use classification per Policy 1.1.4.13 of the Future Land Use Element.
