Executive Summary (General Business): Section 158.244 of the Port St. Lucie, Code of Ordinances, states that a site plan will terminate three (3) years from approval by the City Council. The Copper Creek Commercial site plan (P06-154) was approved by City Council on November 10, 2008, with an expiration date of November 10, 2011. Per Section 158.245, an applicant may request an extension to an approved site plan via a request in writing to the Zoning Administrator prior to the expiration date of the approved site plan. Each extension is limited to a maximum period of two (2) years and shall not exceed four (4) years in total. The applicant is requesting from the City Council a two (2) year extension, which would give the Copper Creek Commercial site plan (P06-154) an expiration date of September 22, 2024. This would be the second and final site plan extension the City Council may grant per Section 158.245. Please see background for a more detailed history of the extensions granted.
