3. Purpose: To construct approximately 6,160 linear feet of 6-foot-wide concrete sidewalk on the west side of Rosser Boulevard.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: 180 calendar days with no option to renew.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Provide high quality infrastructure & facilities for the use of all residents.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): One-time expense of $559,709.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council award Contract #20220009 and enter into a unit price contract with McTeague Construction Co., Inc. for the Rosser Boulevard Sidewalk Construction Project.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and award Contract #20220009.
2. Move that the Council not approve Contract #20220009 and provide staff with direction.

Background: Since 2006, the City has prioritized the design and construction of sidewalks citywide. The original areas were in proximity to schools, especially elementary schools to provide a safe route to school for children. The list has since expanded to establish a network of connecting sidewalks throughout the City. Rosser Blvd is on the Sidewalk Priority List approved by City Council. This project is funded by the 1/2 cent Sales Tax.

An E-Bid was issued on October 30, 2021 to 1,392 potential suppliers. There were 27 plan holders with 2 proposals being received. All proposals were deemed responsive.
