3. Purpose: To collect noise levels and analyze their impact on residents that reside adjacent to the Crosstown Parkway.

5. Duration: An additional 90 calendar days ending on 2/24/2021.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: To provide options to the City that could reduce noise levels on Crosstown Parkway.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): An additional $39,450 for a grand total of $93,450.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the additional work to continue the noise monitoring and analysis on Crosstown Parkway with KCI Technologies, Inc.

1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the additional work.
2. Move that the Council not approve the additional work and provide staff with direction.
Background: The Crosstown Bridge opened to traffic on September 28, 2019. Soon after to opening of the newly constructed portion of the Crosstown Parkway, complaints of increased traffic noise were received. Staff inspected the berm and landscaping then developed plans to enhance the landscaping along the berms to mitigate the noise on both sides of the Crosstown Parkway, as well as to augment areas of sparse landscaping on previously constructed portion of the roadway. City Council directed staff by consensus to also conduct a noise analysis of the entire corridor.
