Executive Summary (General Business): The Public Art Advisory Board at their June meeting recommended locating and installing the IMAG_NE sculpture at the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens until such a time as it can be relocated near the playground at Riverwalk or some other location deemed appropriate.

Presentation Information: Staff may provide a short presentation.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the purchase and installation of the IMAG_NE sculpture at the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens as recommended by the Public Art Advisory Board temporarily. The temporary location has also been approved by the Parks and Recreation Department and the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens' Board of Directors. If a permanent location can be found at or near the playground at Riverwalk, the sculpture would be relocated to that area.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and select another location for the sculpture.
2. Move that the Council not approve the selection and provide staff and the Public Art Advisory Board with direction.

Background: Staff discovered the IMAG_NE sculpture while it was traveling exhibit around South Florida and staff contacted the artist about a permanent piece. Staff has been exploring locations for the piece since last year, including City Hall, Civic Center, Crosstown Parkway and a public space in Tradition.
