3. Purpose: To provide mowing & maintenance services in Areas #1 & #2.

5. Duration: 3 years with an option to renew for an additional 3-year period.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Maintain vibrant neighborhoods throughout the City.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): Estimated annual expenditures are $295,360. Future expenditures will be appropriated in each budget year.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council award Contract #20220005 and enter into a unit price contract with Sunshine Land Design, Inc. for the Mowing & Maintenance of Areas #1 & #2.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and award Contract #20220005.
2. Move that the Council not approve Contract #20220005 and provide staff with direction.

Background: The City has an estimated 520 acres of road rights-of-way that requires mowing and maintenance services throughout the year. These areas require a high level of service to maintain public safety, uniformity and aesthetics.

An E-Bid was issued on November 5, 2021 to 619 potential suppliers. There were 33 plan holders with 4 submitting proposals on December 14, 2021. There was 1 proposal that was deemed non-responsive.

Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the proposal and finds that Sunshine Land Design, Inc. provides the best value to the City. Sunshine Land Design, Inc, is a local vendor and has performed numerous successful projects for the City.
