Executive Summary: This application is a city-initiated comprehensive plan text amendment to update the Infrastructure Element of the City's comprehensive plan. The proposed amendment will revise Policy 4.D.2.1.1 of the potable water sub-element to recognize the City's 2022 update to its Water Supply Facility Work Plan. The City of Port St. Lucie is required to maintain a potable water supply facility work plan to strengthen coordination of water supply planning with land use planning. The City's water supply facility work plan is overseen by the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD).

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Board approve the proposed comprehensive plan text amendment.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Board amend the recommendation and approve the proposed comprehensive plan text amendment.
2. Move that the Board not approve and provide staff direction.

Background: State law mandates that the City's potable water supply facility work plan be updated within 18 months of the South Florida Water Management District's update to the Upper East Coast Water Supply Plan. The Upper East Coast Water Supply Plan was updated in November 2021.
