Executive Summary (General Business): The Finance department reviewed the Travel Policy and determined that it needed to be updated. The updates allow the policy to be understood more clearly and help streamline the process. Some of the updates include traveling employees receiving the GSA Meals and Incidentals (M&IE) daily total rate on each day related to the travel and further defining types of travel into Class A, B, and C.
Presentation Information: Finance staff will be available to answer questions.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve a resolution of the City of Port St. Lucie, Florida, change the direction from City Council Directive and adopt a Management Directive to control the travel policy; and approve Management Directed Travel Policy #23-01.

Background: In line with the Finance Department's mission and values, we intend to review all policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with current industry and organizational standards.
