Executive Summary (General Business): St. Lucie County’s Environmental Resources Department is requesting the City of Port St. Lucie continue as a “Sustainable Sponsorship” participant in the 2022 Earth Day Festival being held at the Oxbow Eco-Center on April 23rd. This will be the second year the City has participated in this action and awareness event.
Presentation Information: Erin Cartmill, Education & Outreach Manager will be available for questions.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve “Sustainable Sponsorship” category which includes a $2,500 contribution. This will match participation in 2021.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the sponsorship request.
2. Move that the Council provide staff direction.
Background: N/A.
Issues/Analysis:
In-kind sponsorship of City logo use and assistance by the Communications Department was approved at the March 14, 2022, meeting. A subsequent request for continued monetary sponsorship was received.
Financial Information: Funds are available in General Government / Other Current Charges and Obligations 001-1900-549000-00000.
