Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Hazen and Sawyer, P.C. (“Hazen”).
Purpose: To authorize Hazen to proceed with advisory services during the design phase of the Discovery Water Treatment Facility Progressive Design-Build Project.
New/Renewal/Modified: Modified.
Duration: The original Contract expires August 12, 2028. No additional time is needed for the services under Amendment #1, and therefore, Amendment #1 adds no additional Contract time.
Benefits to Port St. Lucie: The Owner’s Representative will oversee the Progressive Design-Builder (PDB) during the preconstruction phase, including project management, design review, permitting support, preconstruction services, and funding and grant assistance. These tasks support the Utility Systems Department (USD) in negotiating future project phases and ensure the PDB has current system information needed to design and build the most effective facility.
Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): An additional $1,440,280.00 plus $975,000.00 in optional additional services for a new Contract amount of $1,639,300.00 plus $975,000.00 in optional additional services.
