Executive Summary (General Business): Midway Glades Developers, LLC, as the developer of the LTC Ranch DRI, requests City approval of its Alternative Equivalent Proposal for Public Art in accordance with Section 162.08 of the City's Code of Ordinances. The proposal is for artwork to be known as "Ladybug Hideaway" and composed of clusters of 8', 10', and 12' giant blades or leaves of silver and green grass with 19 species of ladybugs within. The artist is Mark Fuller. The proposed location is south of the intersection of Midway Road and Wylder Parkway on the commercial tracts. The artwork will be maintained by the CDD.

Presentation Information: The applicant will provide a presentation.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Alternative Equivalent Proposal Request as recommended by the Public Art Advisory Board subject to the conditions of approval outlined in Section 2 of the Resolution.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the proposal subject to the conditions of approval outlined in Section 2 of the Resolution.
2. Move that the Council does not approve the proposal and provide staff and Public Art Advisory Board with direction.

Background: On March 18, 2024, The Public Art Advisory Board voted to forward a recommendation of approval to City Council.

On September 7, 2023, the Planning and Zoning Administrator granted the applicant an extension of time to submit a proposal for a master art piece.
