Background: The Gatlin Pines Roadway Rehabilitation project addresses pavement deterioration within the Gatlin Pines Neighborhood. In 2020, the City identified significant roadway failures and conducted geotechnical testing to determine the underlying cause. The results indicated that resurfacing alone would not be sufficient, as the original road construction used substandard methods that would lead to accelerated failure. Based on these findings, the rehabilitation of this area was funded in the FY 25/26 budget. Design work began in 2025, and the project is now ready to move forward into the constructio...
