Background: Upon successfully completing CAPRA Accreditation review, the Parks & Recreation Department (PSLPRD) was notified that only one of the 154 CAPRA standards, that being the possession of a Transition Plan, was insufficiently complete. PSLPRD has since worked with our consultant (WT Group), the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and the Commission for the Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA), to evaluate, assess, and document Parks & Recreation facility deficiencies. The Transition Plan identifies the non-compliant issues and outlines an approach to resolve and/or correct deficient or non-compliant issues.
Issues/Analysis: N/A
Financial Information: The Transition Plan proposes a multi-phase approach to correct identified deficiencies. Staff will request funding as part of the annual operating budget request.
