3. Purpose: to enhance existing contract with Motorola to provide full access to the Motorola Solutions Smart Application Suite (SmartConnect, Smart/Programming, Smart/Locate & Smart/Mapping).
4. New/Renewal/Modified: Modified.
5. Duration: October 2, 2026 through October 1, 2031.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Utilization of the Smart Application Suite platform integrates the strengths of both Land Mobile Radio (LMR) P25 and Broadband Cellular Data, creating Smart Radio Platform.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): $165,865.00 per year for 5 years for a total of $829,325.00.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve a new Agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc., per City Code of Ordinance, Section 35.08(c), for good cause shown, to add additional services to enhance the existing Police Department's radio equipment inventory. The Police Department has been using this service on an introductory basis since January 2024 in order to determine if the platform would be beneficial.
