Hear a Presentation on the Special Events Master Plan Update

Executive Summary (General Business): Special Events is in process of developing their first 10-year Master Plan and has retained the services of Carlos Perez with Perez Planning + Design, LLC to provide a master planning framework of future city events. Jack Kardys of J Kardys Strategies is also a contributor to this project. The presentation is to provide an update on the progress of the Master Plan.
Presentation Information: A 25-minute presentation with slide deck by consultant Carlos Perez of Perez Planning + Design. Jack Kardys of J Kardys Strategies, who completed the Special Events Study, will also be present.
Staff Recommendation: Request that the Council hear the presentation and provide the consultant with any input as the project progresses.
Background: A Special Events Study was conducted by Jack Kardys of J Kardys Strategies and presented to Council on October 20, 2025. City Council had approved the recommendation to move forward with a Master Plan. Therefore, Special Events has contracted the service of Perez Planning + Design, LLC as a consultant for this plan. Jack Kardys will also contribute to this project. The purpose of the Master Plan is to provide a framework for future city events that aligns with the City's Strategic Plan.
