3. Purpose: Replace the small generator at Building B to a larger generator to be able to provide power to the entire building during any outages.

5. Duration: One hundred eighty-eight (188) calendar days to provide a completion date of 9/30/2024 with no option to renew.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: To ensure that back-up power is provided to Building B during a power outage.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The one-time expenditure is $948,900.00.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council award Contract #20240047 and enter into a contract with GLF Construction Corporation for the replacement of the emergency generator at Building B.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council reject the recommended bid.
2. Move that the Council reject all bids and provide staff with direction.

Background: The existing generator at Building B needs to be replaced with a larger generator that will be able to run the entire building in the event of a power loss.

An E-Bid was issued on February 2, 2024, to 2,013 potential contractors. There were twenty-one (21) plan holders with two (2) responsive proposals and one (1) non-responsive proposal being received on March 5, 2024.
