P23-003 City of Port St. Lucie - Comprehensive Plan Amendment/Small Scale

This request is to change the Future Land Use designation of Residential, Office and Institutional (ROI) to Low Density Residential (RL) for a 0.69-acre parcel.

Executive Summary: The vacant 0.69-acre parcel currently has future land use designation of ROI (Residential, Office, Institutional).  Through this application, the applicant is requesting a future land use designation of RL (Low Density Residential); primarily to allow three (3) single family homes on the three previously platted lots. The proposed land use designation of RL will be consistent with the future land use designation of the adjacent properties.

 

Presentation Information: Staff will make a brief presentation.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Board recommend approval of the Small-Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Board amend the recommendation and recommend approval.

2.                     Move that the Board not recommend approval.

 

Background: In 2001, the City initiated a future land use map amendment (P21-010) changing the future land use designation of all the adjacent properties in the block from ROI to RL via Ordinance 21-43. Lots 2,3 and 4 (subject property) remained ROI.
