Executive Summary: This is a city initiated small scale future land use map amendment to amend the Future Land Use on 38.93 acres, more or less, of city owned land from the future land use designation of Utility (U) to the future land use designation of Institutional (I). The subject property is located at the northeast corner of SW Crosstown Parkway and SW Cameo Boulevard immediately west of the Florida Turnpike. The purpose of this application is to change the future land use for the 38.93 acres to Institutional (I) so that the future land use and zoning designations are compatible.

Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Board recommend approval of the proposed future land use map amendment.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Board amend the recommendation and recommend approval of the proposed future land use map amendment.
2. Move that the Board recommend denial of the future land use map amendment.

Background: Office and warehouse buildings are proposed to be constructed on the site for the Public Works Department.
