Executive Summary (General Business): This Resolution and accompanying FDOT State Highway Lighting, Maintenance, and Compensation Agreement will allow the City to be compensated for the maintenance and general upkeep of state-owned highway lighting facilities as specified in Exhibit A of the Agreement. The facilities covered under the agreement are located along S.E. Port St. Lucie Boulevard and US Highway 1.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Resolution allowing the execution of the Agreement.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Resolution.
2. Move that the Council not approve the Resolution and provide staff direction.
Background: The Florida Department of Transportation and the City of Port St. Lucie originally entered into an agreement for State Highway Lighting, Maintenance and Compensation in 2003. This agreement shall compensate the City for maintaining the lighting along US 1 and S.E. Port St. Lucie Boulevard for a period of seven (7) years. The enclosed agreement indicates the number of lighting fixtures for which the City will continue to maintain and receive yearly compensation.
