Strategic Plan Link: The City's Goal of planning for a thriving future.
Executive Summary (General Business): In preparation of the distribution of the 2025 National Community SurveyTM to residents, the City Council will discuss any proposed custom questions.
Presentation Information: A 5-minute overview of the proposed questions will be provided by staff.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council finalize survey instrument.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and finalize survey instrument.
2. Move that the Council provide staff direction.
Background: The Port St. Lucie Community Survey will be conducted by the National Research Center/Polco in late 2024/early 2025, a timeline has been provided in the attachments. Based on Council feedback, the following questions were drafted for the City Council's consideration.
Issues/Analysis: The Strategic Plan is a 'living' document and updates will be required regularly to meet the challenges and priorities of the City. The Port St. Lucie Community Survey provides timely information important to the annual update of the City's Strategic Plan and department strategic and operational plans.
Financial Information: The City's annual budget was developed to support alignment with the Strategic Plan. In addition, funding has been included in the budget to support the annual survey and outreach activities.
