Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council award Contract #20210052 and enter into a unit price contract with McTeague Construction Co., Inc. for the Fairgreen Crossings sidewalk construction project.

2. Move that the Council not approve Contract #20210052 and provide staff with direction.

Background: Since 2006, the City has prioritized the design and construction of sidewalks citywide. The original areas were in the proximity of schools, especially elementary schools to provide a safe route to school for children. The list has since expanded to establish a network of connecting sidewalks throughout the City. Fairgreen Crossings is on the Sidewalk Priority List approved by City Council.

An E-Bid was issued on March 10, 2021 to 1,266 potential suppliers. There were 38 plan holders with 9 proposals being received on April 20, 2021. There were 2 proposals that were deemed non-responsive due to missing mandatory documents.
