Summary Brief (Agreements/Contracts only)
1. Prepared by: Jason Bezak, PMD.
2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and CAPTEC Engineering, Inc.
3. Purpose: To provide the City with 45% construction plans for three (3) roadway segments that could be constructed either concurrently or as stand-alone projects. The construction plans shall include a potable water distribution and wastewater collection system design. All the proposed improvement projects (Project) are located on Port St. Lucie Governmental Finance Corporation (GFC) lands.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: The Contract Period is 240 calendar days.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: To provide the City with preliminary construction plans that would facilitate the City proceeding with either a conventional design, bid, build or alternative design-build letting process. The design and ultimate construction of the Hegener Drive Extension will assist with the overall development of the Southern Grove area.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The total amount to be paid by the City to the consultant for the tasks outlined under Basic Services is $317,895. The contract also includes optional Services that would facilitate the letting of the project as a design, bid, build or design-build project; the grand total of Optional Services included in the contract is $120,810. If the City exercises all Basic and Optional Services, the grand total of the Consultant project would be $ 438,705.
